QuietZone Pickleball
With QuietZone Pickleball rackets you'll never have to worry about noise complaints (we can't control the cheering and laughter however!)
Pickleball participation is growing extremely quickly in communities and backyards, and as a result there are an increasing number of pickleball noise complaints from local residents. These conflicts have prevented numerous communities from installing pickleball courts, and in some towns, play has been shut down.
It is said that necessity is the mother of innovation. Welcome to QuietZone Pickleball, where the only noticeable noise is from the cheering and laughter of players. QuietZone Sports has developed an innovative game very similar to pickleball, but played with small strung rackets. QuiteZone Pickleball can be played on any pickleball court, or on a tennis court with the slight modification of marking a temporary non-volley-zone (“kitchen”) line. QuietZone Pickleball is easy and fun for players of all ages and skill levels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Isn't it illegal to play with these rackets?
A. While it is highly unlikely that you will get arrested for using a racket that makes almost no noise, they are NOT approved for USA Pickleball tournament play. You can of course set up your own tournament where only QuietZone rackets are used.
Q. What kind of ball can I use?
A. QuietZone Pickleball can be played with any commonly available pickleball. 40 hole balls play faster and 26 hole balls play slower. We offer some specially modified balls that make gameplay more like traditional pickleball. Regardless of the ball used, there is almost no noise generated with a QuietZone racket.
Q. Will other players be upset if I use a QuietZone racket?
A. Maybe. Depending on a player's skill level, using a QuietZone racket may be advantageous or disadvantageous. If you are playing for fun, no one should care. Some say it is unfair because they can't hear the loud ping that is made by a conventional paddle. To avoid any conflicts it is recommended that all players use a QuietZone racket when playing a game. You can purchase four (4) QuietZone rackets for less than the price of one premium pickleball paddle.
Q. Are there any benefits to playing with a QuietZone racket?
A. The number one reported benefit is reduced stress on elbows and shoulders, as a strung racket absorbs more ball impact than a solid paddle. Lower weight rackets (as low as 6 ounces) for youth and players who want to reduce the stress even further are also available. Consequently, the balls also receive significantly less impact stress and will last considerably longer without cracking. In cold weather play, the balls don't play "slow and dead" as they do with hard paddles.

HOW TO PLAY
If you've ever played Pickleball you are ready to play. All you need are four (4) QuietZone rackets and balls. When playing on an existing tennis court, a Non-Volley Zone or "kitchen" line needs to be marked 7 feet from the net. The inside box is then used for play. This is easily done with chalk, removable no residue tape (masking tape or other) or with the QuietZone Poly Strapping which has a 5 minute installation time and "leaves no trace" when you are done playing.
